I’m a freelance copywriter with over 8 years of experience working for world-leading companies, agencies, and brands including R/GA, Nike, Booking.com, ING, Deloitte, Diageo, Uber, Bugaboo, TomTom, Ogilvy, and many others.
Skills include Content Strategy, Tone of Voice, Digital and UX copy, Long-form content, Interactive and Integrated Marketing, Branding, Advertising, Scriptwriting, Internal Communications, and Editing.
In addition to writing advertisements, I’m a university lecturer and the author of three books including Pretend We Live Here (Future Tense Books), A Little in Love with Everyone (Fiction Advocate), and the forthcoming novel Boys of Alabama (W.W. Norton/Liveright).
I worked together with Ben Blench on the storytelling strategy, digital content, integrated marketing campaigns and UX copy that launched this luggage system by Bugaboo.
I worked with Achtung! to develop a skill for Amazon Alexa and Diageo called The Bar. The Bar helps people discover recipes, refine their cocktail-making skills, learn new techniques, and order ingredients and cocktail kits through Amazon Prime. For this project, I wrote the copy for the skill (voice and screen), worked on content strategy, managed content, and developed the tone and style guide.

AkzoNobel asked the folks at 1Camera to make a video that showcased the everyday life of some AkzoNobel employees. I wrote the script that highlighted the integrity of daily tasks.

I teamed up with designers, product managers, and frontend wizards to develop the tone, branding, UX messaging, and content for Genius, Booking.com's travel rewards program. I also spearheaded the content development for strategic partnerships between Genius and brands like Samsung, Google, CLEAR, easyJet, Extended Stay America, Vodafone, OpenTable, and more.
Bandit, TomTom's newest action camera, transforms anyone into a master filmmaker. I helped the team develop clear, concise copy for digital, packaging, and promotions.
This integrated marketing campaign at Booking.com encourages travellers to explore the world by going wherever their passion takes them. This landing page is for the "truffle hunting" passion. It's connected to Booking.com's TV commercial that ran across Europe. I worked on the content and messaging for the campaign landing pages and made sure it could translate without a hitch into over 30 languages.
